Our second speaker, Dr. Sunny H WONG from the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, will talk about the latest directions of gut bacterial therapy for therapeutic targets in intestinal diseases. Dr. Sunny H WONG is a young physician-scientist who has published more than 90 papers in international journals and was awarded the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s “Outstanding Young Scientists Fund” in 2019 to study the relationship between colon cancer and gut microbiome. In the symposium, Dr. Huang shared with us some scientific findings on the relationship between gut bacteria and colon cancer, and the direction of regulating gut bacteria for the treatment of intestinal diseases.
